City you live in:
I currently live in Long Island. My mother likes to believe I only come home to sleep though. I work in NYC and even on my days off, I’m still somewhere in the city. It’s my favorite place to be.

English/Spanish/Spanglish
Spanglish?? Omg, never! Growing up my parents were extremely strict. When I was home, I only spoke Spanish. At school, only English. I consider myself lucky to know both idiomas, very well.

Favorite Latin food you can’t live without
Yellow rice! I just can’t ever say, no! Add a few plantains and I’m in heaven!

What is your Latina contradiction?
Honestly, the only thing I could think of .. I’m not crazy over, novelas! They are just too dramatic for me. However, my mother, grandma, aunts etc they can’t live without their novelas. They’ll stay up, late at night edge of their seats, glued to the screen. Always yelling at the latest villain!

When you think of Latin culture what are the first word you think of?
Passion! We put passion in everything we do. Whether it’s at work, home, cooking, dancing, relationships etc, there is always, passion. When I was deciding on which career to choose my mother always instilled I needed to have a passion for whatever it was I chose. I went with hospitality and indeed it is one of my greatest passions. I love what I do, always giving it my 100%

What is their ethnicity? Or where is your family from?
That’s always a very difficult question! I’m always getting confused, some days I’m Filipino other days Hawaiian, I get a little bit of everything. Truth be told, my parents are from San Salvador, El Salvador. It’s a beautiful little country, located in Central America, with very loving and hard working people.

Latina? American? Both?
Definitely, both!

Favorite Latin artist or music?
I LOVE latin music! Salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, you name it, I know it!
As for artists, my gosh! I’ll list a few but please consider there are many, manyyy more!
Juan Luis Guerra, Marc Anthony, Omega, Paulina Rubio, Alejandro Sanz, Carlos Vives, etc.

iPhone or BlackBerry?
Blackberry!

How do you describe your style?
Elegant/Sophisticated. There are three things I will always wear though. Anything gold, leopard, and by Michael Kors, love MK.
