Virtual Lending Library

May 29, 11 Virtual Lending Library

Leer es poder: we heard this endlessly growing up, from parents and teachers who were always encouraging us to read more. These days, we’re too busy to read as much as we’d like to. Let alone go to the bookstore or the library and pick something out. But never fear, BookSwim is here. Think of it as Netflix for books. You basically sign up and make a list of the books you’d like to read from their extensive catalogue and they will then be periodically shipped to you. You can keep them as long as you like because there no due dates or late fees (whew!), or even shipping fees; and there are tons of titles to choose from. Everything from the classics to current best-sellers are available, including Latin authors like Garcia Marquez, Vargas Llosa, Borges and Coelho. Should you happen to fall in love with one of your rented tomes, don’t despair about having to return it because you can buy it at a discounted price. So go on and start catching up on all the reading you’ve been meaning to do, ‘cause it’s never been easier or more convenient for the chica on the go.
