Tips For Beautiful Feet

Sep 02, 10 Tips For Beautiful Feet

Generally speaking, when it comes to skin care it’s our faces that are las consentidas. No cream or serum is too expensive, and no dermatological treatment or home remedy too wacky for our darling visages. But there are other parts of your body that require the occasional TLC as well. Your feet, for example, are by and large neglected.

That’s if they are not outright tortured by getting stuffed into tight shoes with impossibly high heels. Sometimes in the wrong size! Buying a smaller size shoe will not make your feet look smaller. You’re not fooling anybody, so give your piesitos a break with the following tips:

  • Take a page from mami and tia’s books and change into chancletas or other comfy footwear when at home.
  • Stretch your feet daily to relax them and avoid cramps.
  • Wear socks instead of hose whenever possible, because socks allow feet to breathe better and provide more cushioning.
  • Scrub your soles with a pumice stone to remove dead cells and promote softness.
  • Apply a foot moisturizer before bed, especially at the heels.
  • Pedicures are essential to beautiful feet, like you didn’t know. Toenails, calluses and rough spots need to be dealt with, too. And nail polish sexy-fies everything.
  • Soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes in a tub of warm water with 1 cup of lemon juice, ¼ tsp. cinnamon powder and 2 tablespoons olive oil. You can also use bath salts or aromatherapy oils if you prefer.
  • Finally, don’t be afraid to ask your man for a foot massage. Use almond, coconut or olive oil if you have especially dry feet. Sexy and healing.
