City you live in:
Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada

Occupation and why?
I am a celebrity makeup artist and Plus Size Model and Host. I love fashion and being plus size is being in a market that since a couple of years ago has started growing and gaining acceptance. Makeup artistry is an amazing line of work where not only do you inspire but you bring the best beauty forward in each woman shoeing the potential of possibilities they have if they take time for themselves. With plus size modeling I am not your typical model “em>orgullos de ser Latina” and to represent plus size women it’s a passion of breaking barriers and stereotypes in the fashion industry and it’s something that drives me to keep going. Growing up I didn’t feel beautiful because I didn’t feel accepted. I have learned that you have to love yourself and accept what you want and don’t want and live the life you choose to live. This has taught me self-confidence at any size and that beauty radiates from within.

A regular day consists of?
I am busy all the time being a single mami of 3 and working constantly on my career. It’s a 5 a.m. wake up call and then get kids breakfast and off to school, then off to work anywhere from makeup, to hosting voiceovers, to going to castings, etc. I also run other businesses so l have learned that being a business owner is a lot of work and effort to make it successful and productive. I end my day with meditation and spending time with my kids.

How do you define success?
Acceptance of myself! You are your own worst enemy.

What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting past what critics think after letting it affect me to the point that I would wait to feel somewhat accepted to have the nerve to do something! I found out that, regardless of what people think, in order to find and achieve success you have to be clear passionate and driven and just not care what people think! If you wait to feel accepted you just might wait your whole life and miss out on wonderful opportunities!

What advice would you give a Latina who wants to follow in your footsteps?
The best advice I can give them is be a woman of faith speak positive words into your future and no matter what anyone says believe in your dreams and act on them! God has promises that if you believe in your dreams and you work hard they will come to pass! Be thankful for everything and always remain humble!

What’s on your bucket list?
I want to travel the world and teach women how to achieve their life dreams and show them the beauty and talent they have so they can use it and impact the world around them! Life is about contribution and I want my kids to be a part of this. I want to teach leadership and leave a legacy of beauty and peace behind!

I am proud to be Latina because:
Being Latina means we are independent women and can handle anything that comes our way! We come from passionate roots, we are strong and driven. We are the ones who take care of family business, make things happen and always are close to home.

How do you get your Latin fix?
Flowers and fresh fruits! I also play Toto La Momposina at full volume and on repeat.

Spanglish, English, Spanish?
Spanglish all the way!!!!! I am Latina and proud of it.

What is your favorite Latin restaurant?
Tamales Dona Maria Las Vegas the best tamales ever!

My favorite Latina stereotype is:
Somos emprendedoras. We don’t give up, we fight for what we want!

Best advice from mami and/or abuelita:
Never forget where you come from and your roots. Be proud to be Latina!

Favorite home remedy
Honey with sugar facial scrub! Aceite de Olivo con aceite de almendras para el brillo del cabello.

Favorite Quote:
Believe in the beauty of your dreams!
