Was born, raised and still dwell in East Los Angeles.

Carnitas and Enchiladas.

What is your Latina contradiction?
My last name….Presley. I also know how to make a killer English scone.

When you think of Latin culture, what are the first words you think of?
Family. Passion. Warmth. Tradition.

What is your ethnicity? Or where is your family from?
One set of my grandparents is from Chihuahua Mexico, and the other set… my grandmother is half Mexican and half Jewish, and my grandfather was born in Missouri…. (Hence the Presley last name).

Latina? American? Both?
Both.

Favorite Latin artist or music?
This is a hard one. I’m a huge music lover so narrowing it down to one is impossible. I’m just going to name a few artists that I love. I grew up on Linda Ronstadt, both her pop stuff and especially her spanish albums. Her voice is beyond extraordinary. I also heart the Buena Vista Social Club and Manu Chao.

iPhone or BlackBerry?
BlackBerry.

How do you describe your style?
I’m a feminine looking tom-boy. I’m a cross between an animated boho new wave girl and gothic vintage cha-cha.

What is your favorite Latin restaurant?
La Serenata De Garibaldi. They make the best enchiladas de salmon in a pipian sauce. Mmmmm my mouth just watered.

What media in English and/or Spanish do you prefer/consume, as in what magazines, newspapers, TV shows, etc?
I like to read the Los Angeles Times, Mojo Music Magazine, Juxtapoz Magazine, and Martha Stewart Living Magazine. TV is a whole other animal. I am a novela junkie when it comes to “Teresa”. I also live and breathe to watch Larry David’s Curb your Enthusiasm. Dexter happens to be my favorite serial killer on prime time.
