Facials can be very beneficial to your skin as long as they’re done by experts with products appropriate to your skin type; but if performed by the wrong hands, facials can cause more harm than good so you can’t just let anyone loose on your face. You also need to be clear on what it is you can get from a facial, and what you can’t. Many people expect to walk out looking like a quinceañera once again, and that’s just not the case. Facials are helpful, but not miraculous. A good facial can provide you with thoroughly cleansed skin, hydration, exfoliation, removal of whiteheads and blackheads and help improve skin tone. What it cannot do is eliminate acne, treat redness, lift sagging skin, eliminate dark circles or puffy eyes, or permanently fade discolorations. While the occasional facial can help you look and feel better, they are no replacement for your daily skin care routine. The best thing you can do for your skin is to treat it well every day and it will be beautiful and healthy, facials or no facial.
