City you live in:
Born and raised in Los Angeles.

English/Spanish/Spanglish:
I speak English at work. At home, I speak both English and Spanish. I’m not 100% fluent, but I consistently look for opportunities to practice speaking Spanish or read Spanish-language material.

Favorite Latin food you can’t live without:
Stemming from a recent trip to Costa Rica, I now can no longer live without Gallo Pinto. Also, sopes have been a long-time favorite.

What is your Latina contradiction?
In the PR field, I have a passion for the Latina culture, I am drawn to Latin news, statistics and issues, even though I am not fluent and don’t work with Hispanic media…yet. Hopefully this will change soon!

When you think of Latin culture, what are the first words you think of?
The first words I think of include: family, food, diversity and opportunity.

What is your ethnicity? Or where is your family from?
I’m half Ecuadorian (mother) and half Hungarian (father).

Latina? American? Both?
Both

Favorite Latin artist or music?
I love music I can dance to! Some of my favorite Latin artists include Gloria Trevi, Marc Anthony, and Juanes.

iPhone or BlackBerry?
Neither, Android.

How do you describe your style?
My style depends on my mood. For everyday wear, I really prefer a classic style, which includes a button-down or a t-shirt, jeans, boots and simple accessories. When I go out, depending on the event, of course, I almost never leave the house without wearing a colorful outfit, bold accessories and a cute pair of heels. Not quite Carrie Bradshaw, but eventually my shoe collection will be up to par.

What is your favorite Latin restaurant?
This question is easy. Every year for my birthday, my mom lets me pick the restaurant where I’d like to have my birthday dinner with family and friends. Every year, I pick the same restaurant, La Luz Del Dia at Olvera Street. In anticipation for dinner, I don’t eat anything all day until I get to the restaurant where I order two #6 plates and a large champurado. The plate consists of carnitas, mashed pinto beans, Mexican rice, salsa, guacamole and two hand-made tortillas each. Delicious.
