Cable Tv is so Passé

Nov 01, 10 Cable Tv is so Passé

OK, so your cable package comes with like a gazillion channels. You made sure to get Univision so your sister can watch la novela when she comes to visit, and the NFL package so your man can catch up on his football when he stays over; but how many of them do YOU actually watch? Your regular rotation probably consists of no more than 4 or 5 channels, and even then it’s mostly your DVR that gets the workout because your super-busy life doesn’t always permit live-TV-watching. Meanwhile, you’re paying a fortune for a bunch of channels you never use.

Have you considered ditching the cable altogether? You can save yourself mucho dinero by turning to the Web instead. Sites like Amazon’s Video On DemandHuluNetflix and iTunes offer your favorite shows for a fraction of the price. Episodes usually go up the day after they originally air, so you don’t have to wait a long time to get your Modern Family fix or to find out what The Situation is up to on the Jersey Shore. You only pay for what you actually watch! The only exceptions are live sports (but it’s a good excuse to hit the bar with your man!) and some shows from HBO and Showtime. Not to worry if you can’t live without True Blood. It’s more fun to watch with friends anyway, so mix up a pitcher of sangria and make a weekly appointment to watch it over at your girl’s house. Web-only TV: strengthening your pockets and your social life!

I’ve been browsing on-line more than 3 hours noaadwys, yet I by no means discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours. It’s lovely price enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made just right content as you did, the internet can be much more helpful than ever before.
