City you live in:
Chicago, IL.

English/Spanish/Spanglish:
English, trying to return to Spanish roots.

Favorite Latin food you can’t live without:
Mofongo.

What is your Latina contradiction?
I sometimes feel like an outsider since I have lived in the United States most of my life and lost my Spanish. I am trying to regain my connection through volunteering.

When you think of Latin culture, what are the first words you think of?
Familia, Pasion, Communidad, Fuerte.

What is your ethnicity? Or where is your family from?
I was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, my family moved to the United States in 1981 when I was in kindergarten.

Latina? American? Both?
Latina.

Favorite Latin artist or music?
Celia Cruz.

iPhone or BlackBerry?
Both.

How do you describe your style?
I love vintage clothing and shopping at resale shops. I get a thrill when I find the hidden gems that come together in a perfectly sexy outfit that is unique and stylish. Sexy isn’t about how much you flaunt your Latina curves, it is the self confidence that radiates through your body, shines in your smile and lives in the energy of your life.

What’s your favorite Latin restaurant?
Taste of Cuba in Lincolnshire, IL – a little family-run restaurant in my neighborhood that serves incredible Ropa Vieja y Jibarito sandwiches.
