City you live in:
New York

Occupation and why?
Clinical Psychologist in private practice and Publisher of New Latina Online Magazine. Why? Because I am passionate about empowering women — to help them feel good about themselves and be successful in their professional and personal lives.

A regular day consists of?
A million things: the kids in the morning, work on New Latina, my private practice, other business projects, time for myself, run errands, cook, homework with the kids, and quality time with my husband.

How do you define success?
Living life confidently, without fears. Being true to yourself and no one else.

What has been your biggest challenge?
Completing my doctoral degree when I was a single parent. The most empowering period of my life.

What advice would you give a Latina who wants to follow in your footsteps?
Work hard, be focused and go for only the best (i.e., best job, best career, best life, best partner for YOU).

What’s on your bucket list?
Travel the world.

I am proud to be Latina because:
I can appreciate life, people and the world from a very different perspective…

How do you get your Latin fix?
Platanos maduros fritos.

Spanglish, English, Spanish?
ALL

My favorite Latina stereotype is:
That we’re all sexy and hot (it’s true, but we’re more than that).

Best advice from mami and/or abuelita:
To complete an education and become a professional.

Favorite Quote:
My children’s random comments — they’re always honest and poignant.
