Baking soda is a favorite among mamis and abuelas. It is not just an essential ingredient in their kitchens, but also a staple of many home remedies. You already knew that baking soda is especially great when it comes to getting rid of unpleasant household smells, but this versatile powder is good for so much more than that. Its properties are not just domestic, it has plenty of beauty applications as well.  For instance, one teaspoon of baking soda mixed with one tablespoon of honey combine to make a fantastic face wash. It’s gentle and fights acne. Speaking of which, baking soda can also spot-treat acne. Just make a paste by mixing a little baking soda with water and applying it directly to the unwelcome invader; it will dry it out in no time. If you couldn’t tell by now, baking soda is fabulous for your skin so go the whole nine yards and dissolve some into your bath. Result: head to toe super-soft skin. But the soda isn’t just good externally; it can also help with some internal issues, such as stomach problems. Heartburn, gas and acid stomach can all be soothed by drinking a glass of warm water with a teaspoon of baking soda mixed into it. But this is just the tip of the iceberg for this miraculous powder; it has many other uses, but we have to confess that the “making your skin awesome” is more than enough for us. So, are you a fan yet?

Sounds great, I heard it is good for teeth stains too. Do you know what amount you need to use for teeth?
